Blodget, Bloodgood
The family name I am searching is Bloodgood; they originally came from Gouda, Holland to settle in Albany New Jersey and New York City in the 1600's.The Dutch spelling is Bloetgoet. When I asked a friend who is from Holland how to pronoun this, "Blood" sounded like Blud and "good" like get.Is it possible that Blodget is actually a variation of Bloodgood?Where did the Blodget's originate? Thanks for your thoughts on this.
