Carl is my great-grandfather, he was born Feb. 19, 1859 in Friedheim, Wiritz, Posen, Pruessen to Christian and Auguste Caroline (Arndt) Block. They were married Feb. 3, 1857 in Brostowo (also spelled Brzostow), Possen, Pruessen. Carl came to the United States when he was 20 (approx. 1879), he spent a short time in Lafayette, Indiana....are there any Blocks or possibly Arndts or anyone that have any information about him or who he may have visited/stayed with while in Indiana? He settled in New Ulm, Minnesota and raised a family. He was called Charles in the United States.
