Hannah Wentz daughter Caroline Carrie Ailers, born November 10, 1878, Osborne Co., KS, married Harvey Anson Bliss, September 1896 in WI. Their first child George Dewey Bliss was born July 1898 in Osborne Co., KS. Family stories recollect Carrie, Anson, and Dewey Bliss lived in Whitehorse, OK for a few years before moving back to Osborne Co., KS. Grandmother Scharlottie Wentz, as noted in her 1902 obituary, resided in OK and WI between 1885 and 1898. 1900 Federal Cenus, Carrie and Anson Bliss were noted as living in Tilden, Osborne Co., KS along with sister-in-law Maggie Ailers in the household. March 1905 KS State Census, the Bliss family and neighbor Ailers family has moved to Hancock, Osborne Co., KS. Carrie Ailers Bliss became a widow in May 1905 and remarried Joseph Ellsworth Anderson, September 5, 1897 in Osborne Co., KS. Son George Dewey Bliss Carlin would be adopted by John Carlin. 1915 KS State Census indicated the John Carlin family was living in Independence, Osborne Co., KS. G. D. Carlin, male 16, and R. E. Bliss, male 8, was noted in the household.
