I have recieved my grandfather Jeremiah Henry Foote's birth Certificate and death certificate this month. Jeremiah Blight Sr. was Jeremiah Foote's grandfather by his daughter Lavinia Ann Blight. Lavinia married a seaman by the name of William Fredrick Foote. they lived at 29 Fore Street Dist 7, Saltash
If you are familiar with this family, please contact me, I am looking for any info inclusive or possible or exclusive to help clear up a remaining mystery about William Fredrick Foote. The Foote surname was once Marble. There was a Wm F H Marble, age 14, who lived next door with a woman named Eliz *M Foote,listed as son-in-law, to the Blights who was not on next census, but Lavinia was married and living at her fathers house. Now William Fredrick Foote, was called Henry according to Aunt Gladys.So one can surmize I suppose this may well be Wm FH Marble. The Marble children according to Jeremiah Foote lost their father in accident and when mother remarried the children took on the sur-name of new step-father, which was Foote. It seems like a tangled mess, but Jeremiah is my grandfather whom I never knew so I would dearly like to find the answers. Thanks for reading.
