Yes there is a connection, just what exactly is it?
I am sure it goes back to Tinton Manor , St Tudy or before, rather then Ireland.
I will keep looking for the exact answer and post if I find it.
the Earl and my distant Campbell uncle were Wm Bligh's executors,
both were friends and possibly family . My Campbell uncle was 1st cousin
to his wife.
