Hello;
I am the gggg grandson of Yost and live only 2 miles from his original homestead here in MD.
I am just entering my search using the Internet having posted my web page on 15 Oct 1998. Are you the same Art Blickenstaff on another Blickenstaff list owned by Suzanne?
I purchased over 400 pages of the Hans Jakob BLICKENSDOERFER family line from three ladies who have worked for over 30 years. They are not going to publish their work even though it deserves to be published. The one I communicate with is Miss Mary F. Mickey. She is in her 70s and I believe her health will not allow her to publish. I have given her my word to NOT publish their work. I have two goals at this point in time: (1) enter this data into a computer program which will take me forever, and (2) research the ancestry of Yost's parents back in Switzerland. I will be 69 on 28 Dec 1999, Lord willing, and will never be able to personally go to Switzerland and I can't afford to hier a genealogist to search for me. The Internet seems to be my only hope.
