Blickenstaff is one of the surnames used by descendants of Hans Jakob Pleickensdoerffer (as the name was written February 12, 1716 in the government archives of the city of Speyer, the capital of the Palatinate.) Many Blickenstaff's are descendants of Hans' son Jost (or Yost), who was married to Elizabeth Ochs.
