Thomas "Tom" Blewett that worked on Mt Rushmore was my grandfather. His family came from the Cornwall area about 1898-1900. Several of his brothers and sisters were born in Wales but he was the first child born in the US (Gas City, Indiana). They later homesteaded in Alberta.
