Hello Matt, Nice hearing from you again. I might agree with your position if the marriage were between Ralph and a daughter of de Clare, but no evidence for that has been found and the two known daughters of Isabel by first Henry I (also named Isabel) and by de Clare are well known and documented. The illigetimate daughter, Isabel would be the most likely, but as far as documentation and sources can show, this daughter never married and lived her life out with her mother as a companion and disappears after her mothers death. The daughter by de Clare married twice, both of her marriage are well documented and show no mention of a marriage to a Bloet/Bluet. I am attaching a link to a pdf publication Tony Pratt and I have published for the Wiltshire University, Lackham College web site. The small publication is on the Medieval Bluets. I hope you will give it a look over and let me or Tony know your opinion. The source citation and references for our argument in favor of a marriage between Ralph Bloet II, and the widow of de Clare are shown on pages 13-18 of the pdf. file. You can also access this pdf by going through the Lacham Country Manor web site and it will also be listed shortly on Chris Philip's "Medieval Family Histories" web-site. http://www.lackhamcountrypark.co.uk/history/the_bluets.pdf Again, I hope you keep the research up and please let Tony and I know if you find any proof to support the Bloet and de Clare daughter theory, we would gladly update our information. Thank you! Cheers, Karen Repko Notify Administrator about this message?
