Hi Julia--I went back to the library and checked all the Bedford county records for Jacob Blessing. John and David show up a lot, mainly because of the land Wilson left his children, but no Jacob. I did find a marriage in Rutherford Co. (next to Bedford Co) for Jacob Blessing to Lucretia Gallathan, March 9, 1817. Could of course be another Jacob Blessing, but the age is right. I also found an 1820 Bedford Co census with a Jacob Blessing. There was one adult male, one adult female and two small girls. In the 1850 census Jacob is living in Rutherford Co. He is 54, Ally is 53, Polly 13, Jacob Jr.10 and Julia is 7. He is born in VA and she in Ky. The children all born in Tn. Jane
