(This is a re-post of a message reply I just posted that, due to the age of the original posting, was relegated to page #7.) In a xerox copy of a lengthy 1906 letter written by one of my ancestral 1st cousins (Dr. George Bell TIMMERMAN, Sr., District Judge for Eastern & Western Districts of South Carolina, son of Doctor Washington Hodges TIMMERMAN Lt. Gov. etc. of South Carolina, and father to George Bell Timmerman, Jr. also Lt. Governor and Governor of the state) states, in a paragraph of the letter addressing his ancestors, ... "My Grandfather on my mother's side, Bergman Bledsoe, was of English descent. He married a Miss Douglass. My mother, Lydia Douglass, lost her mother ....etc". My reason for posting ... the difference in the common name of Bartlett versus Bergman. FYI only as I have no 'horse to ride' here. Chuck Notify Administrator about this message?
