Becky,
I do not have further information about your Francis (Frances?). My husband's grandfather Robert Clyde Bleakley was born 1880 either in Meadville, or Edinboro, PA. On his marriage certificate in MI, his father is listed as William, mother Grace Hanks. I have been unable to find out anything else about the Bleakleys or Hanks in Crawford Co., or Erie Co. I don't know if there is any connection to you or not. As you are surely aware, research gets difficult with the many ways of spelling and misspelling a name. I have found a William C. Bleakley in PA who was part of the 1862 militia - may or may not have been R. Clyde's father. do you have any further information about the Bleakleys in Crawford Co.?
thanks,
Barbara Bleakey
