Hi. My parents (Alan & Joyce) took us to Johannesburg, SA in 1955.
Alan's father was Alfred George, of Bishops Castle, Shropshire. His mother was a Morrell
Alfred George's father was George Blainey. His mother was Mary. They were from Bridge North in Shropshire.
I am trying to trace the connection back to Gregynog Hall, which I visited as a child in 1962.
There is considerable information in that area. A John Blayney was Squire to the Body of Charles 1st. (Didn't do a very good job!!)
