I have only just obtained my Grandmother's birth certificate, and have found that her mother was an Eliza Blay. She married a George Chase from Staines. Using the 1881 census disks, I believe that she must have been Eliza Blay born 1870 in White Waltham, which is of course very close to Bray. There seems to be a strong concentration of Blays in that area.
