I have just received a copy of our family bible with information that we are descended from Maria Blauvelt and Peter Decker. My ggggmother was Sarah Ann Decker, born 2 March 1834, married to William Gilbert Boggs on 1 December 1853. She had three children: William Cummings Boggs, b. 26 Sept 1854 died 15 December 1857; Maria Louisa Boggs, b. 19 August 1856, died 23 October 1923; and Eliza b. 4 Aug 1859, died 23 February 1882.
Maria Louisa also known as Louisa Maria Boggs married John F. Bellows on 25 August 1879. They had five children but only one survived, my great-grandmother Hazel Wallace Bellows, b. 10 April 1889, married John Edward Lang 30 April, 1910. My grandmother was Alice Elizabeth Lang, b. 31 October 1910. She had a son John Edward Lang, Jr. b. 1 December 1912, married to Mary Ellen Shannon, one daughter Mary Ellen Lang.
Betty Lang was married twice to Martin Constable and Robert Lonsdale. Her three children, William Martin, Phyllis Louise and John David were adopted by her second husband, and now use the name Lonsdale. I'm the eldest daughter of John David Lonsdale, Sandra Mary.
