Thomas Blatchley (b.1615) siblings

I am 13th generation descendent from Thomas, and am researching my English /New England roots. I have found conflicting information indicating on one hand Thomas had at least two brothers, Samuel and John, both blacksmiths, who emmigrated to Boston ~1637 etc. reference the New England Historical and Genealogical Register Vol 58, and the other this forum dated Sept 22, 2000 indicating Thomas had only two siblings, a sister and brother William.
Who is correct if either?
ps. does anyone have any idea when the spelling change took place (Blakeslee) and on which lines/generations? At least here in the middle US, old reference texts carry the Blakeslee spelling all the way back to Thomas b.1615.
