I have recently discovered that my 2 x great uncle, Arthur Blatchley, had a connection with West Derby, Liverpool. He was born in 1864 in Halam, Nottinghamshire (near Southwell). In 1890, in Leicester, he married Elizabeth BEYNON, born c1872 in Liverpool (her father was not named on the marriage certificate). A month later (!) in July 1890, they had a son, Arthur, born in Cotswold Street, West Derby. They then moved to Norfolk where Elizabeth died in 1905 and Arthur married again and seems to have settled in Norfolk.
This is a very fleeting Liverpool link, but I have come across other Blatchleys in Liverpool generally (including some in West Derby), earlier than Arthur's time there and I wondered if there might have been a family link which I am not aware of.
If anyone has any information about Blatchleys in Liverpool, I'd love to know.
