Nancy:

Blann is a variation of the surname Bland. According to Cousin Charles L. Bland the Historian of the Bland Family and author of the 609 page book on the Bland Family there was a Zacariah Bland (C1814- ? ) who married a woman named Kesiah O'Gill (or Gill) and they had seven children with the same names as those in your message. Zacarah Bland was one of the eight children of John Bland (c1770-1842) and Sarah E. Lee. John and Sarah were probably married in Monroe or Greenbrier Co. VA about 1799 and they moved into Tennesse and then into Kentucky.

John Bland (c1770-1842) was the son of Osborne Bland (c1752-c1820) and Latitia ______ who were involved in the fericious Indian Raid at Fort Kinchloe in 1782. This is quite an interesting story about one of the many Bland Families.

How do you relate to this Bland Family?

Bernie in Virginia
Descendent of the Virginia Blands
