I do not have anything in my database on the four mentioned Cloar men. Most of my data pertains to Clore in Kentucky and Virginia. However, I gathered the following from the web:

From the John E. Cloar Home Page: "I am researching the Cloar Family from Obion County Tennessee. I am specifically interested in John E. Cloar who is buried in the "Cloar/Marshall" cemetery near Clayton in Obion County Tennessee along with his wife Matilda Hubert. He died on May 11, 1872. His marker says that he lived "59 yrs 4 mos 26 das" so he was born sometime in 1812. The Cloar family supposedly came to Obion County in 1824, possibly from Sumner County Tennessee. Anna McAlister was born Nov. 21, 1850 Obion County, TN, and died Oct 7, 1929 Obion County, TN. She married Jerry A. Cloar December 31, 1891. Issue: Charles McAlister Cloar, born Feb 23, 1893; died Sept 20, 1921.
