This weekend I came across the book: "Ancestors and Descendants of Felix and Mary Crisler Blankenbaker" compiled by Patricia Blakenbeker Wally.

The introduction gives a brief general history of the Blankenbeker/Blankenbaker arrival in in Virginia and subsequent settlement in Jefferson County, Kentucky. But it follows the line of Jacob Blankenbaker and his son, Felix, who m. Mary Crisler - I think around 1800. I would imagine that both these lines were closely related to your two lines of the same surname - but that yours choose to settle first in Indiana. Is that right?

Some of Felix's line later settled in Harrison County, Indiana.

Unfortunately, I am interested in Felix's brother, Henry Blankenbaker, who m2 Mary (Doups/Toops) McKenny. There is nothing of Henry in this book. It is the McKenney line that interests me since she could well be the mother of my ancestor. But Henry would have been his step-father.
