James BLAND/Esther NEWTON VA>NC c1800

I am looking for information on James BLAND possibly of VA, of Duplin County, NC, who married first Jemima ALDERMAN and then Esther NEWTON and lived in the late 18th/early 19th century. His father was probably William BLAND who died in Duplin County c1775. Ancestral File has info on him but I'm not comfy with it, but I feel he will somehow possibly fit in with earlier Blands of Prince William County, VA. Any help appreciated!
