I believe that Venetia is probably Bernette, as I've seen Bernette's name given as Vernetta, and Venetia is not too far removed from that. Bernette is the sister of my 2g grandmother, Mariah H. Ferguson. If you ever gathered information on the children of Samuel and Bernette (Ferguson) Bland, I'd be very interested in seeing that, as well.
