Bobbi,
I have a clarification and a bit more info.
John,my gggrandfather, was born in 1817,
not 1840, and was brother, not son, to
your William. He served as bondsman at
at Wm and Lavinia's wedding, I believe.
"Billy" and "Jacky" had a younger brother
LaFayette"Fate" who also went to Texas.
One of my cousins here sometimes hears
from his descendants in Abilene.
