No, I don't know him either. I am from the Peyton Bland line out of Orange County, TX. One of our line, David Bland, lived at Tarkington and is buried at Oak Shade Baptist Church but I just found that out about a year ago. Never realized I had cousins just down the road. :-)
It really is not too bad entering everything on the computer. It flows fairly smoothly most of the time. I have done it 3 times now. Once because I changed computer systems, and once my hard drive failed and I had no backup. I now have a TAPE backup that runs every night. Family Tree Maker is fairly simple. I have a VCR tape of instruction if you want to borrow it.
