Williamson had a brother, John born in 1790 who died in 1813 in Mecklenburg VA. Sons of Samuel L. Bland, and Elizabeth Williamson Bland of Mecklenburg, Virginia
Williamson, born in 1782, also had a son John William born Dec 22, 1817 who died on May 20, 1903 in Arkansas. I'd have to see the document you are speaking of to see how it links up. However.... here is how my husband is linked -
Williamson was my husband's 4th great grandfather.
Great grandfather: Albert E.L. Bland, Benton Arkansas
Great Great: Samuel Merritt Bland, Benton Arkansas
Great Great Great: John William Petross Bland, Arkansas
Great Great Great Great: Williamson Bland, died in Tennessee
My husband still has Bland relatives in Benton County Arkansas. I can provide more info. Probably this land was in Benton County Arkansas - perhaps around LaRue or Rogers - that is where my husband's relatives all have lived and were from. I'd like to see that document and show it to my husband's oldest sister who is really up on the Bland side (their maternal side of the family). She might be able to tell us more -
