Dear Bland Cousins, Who knows where this man came from? Who were his parents? There's a tombstone record of his death and his birth year is accurate, give or take a year or two. Thomas was in the area that became Pendleton County, on the Potomac River, abut 1769, and he married (1) Margaret _____ and (2) Rachel Shoulders (C1773-1851) about 1797. He had nine children and about 95 bazillion grandchildren, owing primarily to his son Henry (1770-1853 note he was older than the second wife), who plowed through two hapless women and begot 24 children. The ancestral trail comes to a dead cold stop with old Tom. There are historians of the family who lay awake at night trying to think where he came from and we'd much rather hear from you than take nytol.
