I have Peter Bland, born 1769, Abbeville, Nottoway County, VA, died 3/3/1824. Educated at Hampden Sidney College. Married 1st, Elizabeth Morrison. Children: Judith Booker Bland, Ann Morrison Bland, Sallie Bland, Elizabeth Morrison Bland. Peter married 2nd in 1809 at Chatham, Prince Edward Co., VA, Martha Wallace Nash. Martha Wallace Nash died in St. Louis County, Missouri, May 6,, 1833.
Peter Bland is the gggggrandfather of my daughter-in-law, Julia Canon Boswell Bland. I have a history of her line of Blands back to Edward de Bland, killed by Robert Wakefield in 1346,. I have no documentation, but lots of names and dates.
Although our daughter-in-law has many Blands in her family tree, we have hit a stone wall in researching my husband's line. We have Addison Jeremiah Bland, who lived in Shelby County, TN, and married in 1850. Beyond Addison, we have hit a wall.
