The Edgefield SC Blands are pretty well researched. Unfortunately, I don't have my genealogy computer up and running, but if memory serves me right, Robert Bland was responsible for most of the early population (of Blands) in that part of the South. Until such time as you can get more information or I can get my computer up and running, and find the time, you can be satisfied by knowing that you are a part of the largest of the two major Bland families in America, that started by James "The Immigrant." His progenitry is documented back to 1575. Look forward to providing you more. Cousin, Dave
