Ellen Elizabeth Bland is the sister to my great-grandmother Mary Emma Bland Bennett who married Bernard Scott Bennett. Their parents were John Presley Bland born July 31,1816 in Edgefield and died July, 1887 in Edgefield and Martha Adaway Cogburn born Sept. 10, 1815 in Edgefield and died June 28, 1868 in Graniteville,S.C.. There were 10 children according Bible records of Bernard and Mary Bennett.The children are Mary Emma, John Presley,Jr., Susan,Harriett,Zelean Carolyn, Mattie A.,Lawrence Nathan,Elizabeth Ellen, Laura Cornelia, and Pierce Butler.
