Hi! I don't have a lot to give you, but according to the research I have been given, mostly researched from "Among Cousins", the Bland newsletter and from "A Vision of Unity" by Charles Bland, John Bland's parents are William BLAND and Catherine KEY, William's parents are James BLAND and Margaret___, then questionably, James' parents are George BLAND and Grace ___, George's parents are James BLAND and Susan COOK and his parents are James BLAND and Alice PATTERSON.
As for John BLAND's children: I only know of my ancestor, William who was born 1765 in Prince William Co., VA. He was married to Sarah PEAKE between 1785 and 1790 and died in 1850 in Hardin Co.,KY. In the early 1780's, William moved to KY with his parents and lived in Nelson Co. until 1831, when he moved to Hardin Co. and settled on Nolan Creek. He died there in 1850 at age 85.
I am still working on proving these names and dates, but at least it's something to go on!
