Regarding Alphonsine, my great grandfather Victor Blanchet who married Osithe Thibeault in 1849 or 1860 had 10 children. One was Gustave born March 8, 1861, my grandfather who married Flavie Strong. Another was Edmund, born 1862, who married Flavie's sister, Roseanna Strong (no date), Another was Emile born Jan 25, 1870 who married Melina Soucy in 1864. Then there was Auguste, Alphonsine, Malvina, Celina, Hermine, Aurore and Pamela who married Simon Fortin. I got this information from my uncle and it was compiled by Godfroy Blanchet of the Superior Court, Montreal Canada in Oct. 1944. I think this may be the Alphonsine you are looking for. I have the children of the 2 Jean- Baptiste's who are also my ancestors but there is no Alphonsine and the dates would not be right.
