I have quite a comprehensive listing of Blanchards in Ontario--beginning with George Thomas Mayo Blanchard born July 27, 1844 in Limehouse, County of Middlesex (son of George Alfred & Martha (Ramshire) Blanchard. He married Emily Ann Martin on Apr 16, 1863 and they had 10 children--all born in London between 1864 & 1878. Emily Ann died in London and it was after that time that George & some (possible all surviving) children came to Canada. George eventually went to the U.S.A. and died in Baltimore, Maryland. At least one of his children--Arthur--also moved to Maryland but eventually ended up in Boston where he died some time before 1934.
George & Emily's third child and oldest surviving child, a son George Alfred Mayo was married in London in 1890 so came to Canada at some date after that. George & Emily's youngest child, a daughter Edith Maude (my husbands grandmother) was born in London in 1878 and married in Sudbury, Ontario in 1907.
I have a birth certificate for George T.M. Blanchard born 1844 and the original marriage certificate of George A.M. (1890).
It is interesting that you have the same month and day of birth for your George Thomas but nothing else compares.
Although I have nothing that goes back further family verbal history maintains that George's grandfather was a French Hugenot--Le Blanche.
