Thank you Colleen for posting a reply to my query on William Blanchard. I believe that the William ( William Joseph Blanchard )of which you speak originated in England although the name of the town eludes me at the time. He did indeed have a wife named Elizabeth and there is some concensus in the community that she may have been aborigional although my research hasn't yet proved or disproved this theory. If you have information on this point please e-mail me @ leo.ej@hotmail.com. My own research thus far, although extensive, has been limited to the Bay St. George area. I am gradually working my way east as it were and have in the past tried to connect these Blanchards with those in the Bay of Islands area.
If you feel that this collection of Blanchards is of use to you let me know and I will give you access to the same via web page or e-mail.

Best Regards
Leo ( Blanchard ) Head
