Bernice, The Mary Burch who married Uriah Blanchard was Christopher Burch's daughter, not Joseph Branch. I found a will of Christopher Burch in Duplin Co, NC that names his son-in-laws Uriah Blanchard, John Whitehead, John Gibbs and Alexander Sanders. Found these entries in Duplin Co Court of Pleas & Quarters: A committee formed for estate of deceased Christopher Burch is dated Jan. 19, 1790 on a Tuesday with the three men posting a f500 bond and disbursement of estate to son-in- laws was done on April 21, 1790 on a Wednesday. Court always convened on the third Monday of the month so Christopher Burch probably died between third monday of Dec 1789 and third monday of Jan. 1790. William Dickson, Theophilus Willaims, Lavin Watkins, a committee to divide the Estate of Christopher Burch, deceased, between the Widow and heirs render their report in writing: To Mrs. Jane Burch, the widow f31-15-9 To John Gibbs, a son-in-law f31-9-9 To Uriah Blanchard, a son-in-law f31-17-9 To John Whitehead, a son in law f31-13-9 To Alexander Sanders, a son-in-law f31-15-0 total f158-12-6 Also found was this reference which names Joseph Burch's children and there is no Mary listed: Joseph Burch"Planter" August 25 1765 Executors to sell 200 acres on the head of Baremarsh to pay debts; Wife Ann all other of my lands, household goods, and creatures of make as I possest with or do own; and at her death Estate to be equally divided amongst my dear beloved children Charles, Araminty, Richard,Joseph, John, Christopher, and Benjamin Burch. Joseph also lists a son named Christopher and I believe he also had a brother named Christopher, so I am not sure which Christopher was the father of Mary Burch.
