BLooking for Parents of Louisa Blanchard b.1826-27 in New York State.
Census in 1850 state her Father was b. in N.Y. and her mother b. in Canada.
Louisa was married to John Jacobs b. 1827 in New York and his father was born in N. H. and his mother also born in Canada. I am also seeking which Jacobs are his parents.
John and Louisa Blanchard Jacobs lived in Upstate N.Y. and believed raised their children and died there.
I have all his children’s names as on my mother's side he would be a ggggrandfather to me. I just read another thread and given a great hint that
Blanchard women sometimes used their maiden names
and answered why Louisa in later census either had a double
or cousin with a daughter the same age, etc.
Independent women perhaps a head of their time!
Appreciate in advance of any all info-just starting this
ristol Co? What state?
