A Pay Roll of a Scout ordered out by the Capt. General under the command of Capt. Ebenr [Ebenezer] Wallis in search of Lt. Wm. [William] Blanchard, April, 1782; on which Capt. Ebenr Wallis, Ensign Noah Chittenden, Sergt. Josiah Averill, Corporals Jona. Butterfield, and Rufus Montague, and privates Thomas Averill, John Adams, Ward Post, Martin Chittenden, Sylvester Deming, Martin Deming, Jacob Hinds, Elihu Pettibone, are allowed, each, for one day's service.
