Hills, Clark, Blanchard - Great Burstead, Eng. & Malden, MA

I'm trying to confirm what I found in print about the above couple, who lived in Great Burstead, co. Essex. IGI Batchs M073331 and M073332 for Great Burstead, which are extracted marriage records, don't show this marriage, but do show others for July 1624. Boyd's Marriage Index says "1624 Joseph Hills & Rose Clark, Gt Burstead" - where did this come from?

Also, supposedly their daughter Elizabeth, who married John Blanchard, was baptized on 21 Oct 1627 in Great Burstead. But IGI Batch C073331, which are extracted baptismal records, shows this as the baptism of Elizabeth Haes, d. of John! No other baptism for that date is listed. I was willing to write it off as misreading "Haes" for "Hills" except for the fact that the father was named and doesn't match!

Has anyone done research on this couple? I may have to send for actual copies of the parish records, but I thought I'd ask here so I don't "reinvent the wheel"

I appreciate any help.
