Joseph C. Blanchard b.? d. 1861-1865

This gentleman was my Great-great grandfather. I don't have the name of either of his wives. My lineage runs from him to his son Royal Stephan b 10/30/1855 d 3/20/1939 who married Sarah Waterman b 5/15/1857 d7/21/1938. their daughter was Myrtle May Blanchard (Huff) b 1/9/1886 d 6/14/1970 who married Grover Cleveland Huff.

Mom has given me other info that Joseph C. was a widower with 2 grown sons when he married my GG Grandmother, a widow with one daughter. This union produced 4 sons (the oldest being Royal S.) and 1 daughter. Joseph's oldest sons both enlisted during the Civil War. One was killed and GG Grandpa Joe enlisted to take his place ( I have a picture of him in his Union uniform). He died of dysentery and was buried somewhere in Arkansas. The other son remained in the south after mustering out. My grandmother was born in Wisconsin.

If this sounds familiar to anyone, I could use some help to fill in the blanks and push the line on back.
Thanks
