Hi Peggy, The "K" is for Karen. I married into the Baker line. Actually, I married into 2 Baker lines. My second husband (now divorced)is a Baker, but I have not been able to trace his line any further back than 1830. My first husband, an Alexander, descends from a Baker...Thurza. I have five children and 4 grandsons that are Thurza's descendants. The line that I have...descends: William Wallace Cooper & Thurza Margaret Isabel Baker Reuben Daniel & Lucy Honora Cooper Edmund Herman Coleman & Gladys Elnore / Elnora Daniel Neil Robert Alexander & Bessie Naomi Coleman Billy Joe "William Joseph" Alexander & Karen Knutson (ME) I would expect to find the Goodwin name somewhere up the line from Elijah / Eligah Goodwin Baker, too, but the name would likely come from his parents'lines (not his wife's line). So far, I do not have a name for William Baker's parents, nor his wife's line. I have his second wife as Polly Moore. Polly is often a nickname for Mary. The twist to the Blanchard name with a William Goodwin Blanchard is interesting, but if William was Phebe Blanchard's father, rather than Jeremiah, he would be a relative by marriage to Elijah (with the possibility that they could also have a blood relationship from another branch in the line). William would be related to Caroline Clark, Elijah's wife, as it is Caroline that is the Blanchard descendant and not Elijah. Elijah probably has a Goodwin somewhere in his branches, too. Maybe there is a Goodwin up the line that has both Baker and Blanchard descendants! Notify Administrator about this message?
