Dear Jason,

My great-great-great-grandfather was Joseph Blanchard. He was born about 1823. He is listed as a Forgeman on the 1850 Pequannock Township, NJ Federal Census, with his wife, Mary Ann (Van Duyne?),who born about 1822, and their children Sarah, born about 1843, Lucinda, born about 1845, Ellen (my ancestor), born on September 23rd 1846, Joseph, born about 1848, and Enos, born about 1850. On the 1860 Pequannock Township, NJ Federal Census, Joesph is listed as a Day Laborer. The family is again listed plus Rachel, who was born about 1852, Susan, who was born about 1854, and William, who was born about 1858. Joseph's wife, Mary Ann, must have died sometime after the 1860 Census. On the 1870 Boonton Township, NJ Census, Joseph is listed as being 48 years old, with Elizabeth (his second wife?), who kept house and was 26 years old and born in Scotland. Enos and William are also listed. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jim Heath Jr.
