I'm looking for the parents of James Milton Blanchard, b. abt. 1841 Exeter, Maine. He married Cynthia Ellen Kennedy in Oakland, Ca. in 1874. Family history has it that the parents came to Maine from PIE and that there were four Blanchard brothers. James served with the 20th Maine Infantry during the Civil War and came to CA as did atleast one of his brothers, both setteled in Oakland. The third brother, named John or Jack was killed during the war. Nothing is known about the fourth one.
We've been searcing for James' parents for several years now with no luck. If anyone has information or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help.
