Help these blanchard descendants
Dear other Blanchard descendants.
Please help me and my cousins figure out our
grandmother's ancestors. I have posted before. I only know of my grandmother and her
cousin. They lived in northwest Caddo parish and East Texas. My grandmother was Annie Eliza Blanchard, and her cousin was named Cecil Blanchard. Cecil was a woman, but the family pronounced it "Cecil" not "Cecille". They were both born in the mid-1800's. My grandmother died in the early 1900's, but Cecil lived, I know, into the 1970's. Cecil married a man named Sol Johnson and had a daughter. I think that Cecil may have died in Shreveport. My grandmother is buried in Blanchard, LA. Cecil may be buried there, also. They lived in the community before it was named Blanchard.
We know we are kin to some Blanchards. I don't know anything about Annie Blanchard's parents. She is buried in Lousiana, like I said, but I don't know whether she came from south Louisiana, or from the southeast, or the north.
