Have just started checking out some family history and came across your message on the board. I am the daughter of Eugene Blanchard, granddaughter of Alcee Blanchard and great granddaughter of Romaine Blanchard. I also know of a great aunt Alice and great aunt Ella who would have been Alcee's sisters. All seem to have been from the Duson, Louisiana area, at least at some time in their life. The only real dates I have are 1894 for my Grandfather's birth. Any help would be much appreciated!
