I am an Anglican priest at present working in Edinburgh, Scotland. My father was Master Butcher in Co Durham, England. His father was a miner also in Co Durham. There are a number of Blanch's around in the North East of England, as many also here in Scotland. We know that we may have connections with the Shetland Islands, although clearly FRench origins are strong too. As we are preparing to live in the USA, Minnesota, we would like to know if any of you Blanch's have links to Northern England ? WE have seen evidence of Blanch's all over the place. Good to hear from any of you. Also a famous Blanch was once the Archbishop of York in the 1970's.
