Josiah L. Blalock & Susan Moon, Jackson County, Georgia
I am looking for clarification of the family of Josiah L. Blalock, son of Zadock Blalock and Margaret Ann Lewis-Blalock of Fayette County, Georgia.
It has been reported that Josiah Blalock and Susan Moon were married on 10 May 1838 in Meriwether County, Georgia.Who was Susan's father??
A transcription of the 1850 census looks like the following.I believe Josiah was incorrectly transcribed as "Jonah"

The 1860 census presents a mystery. The 3 young boys (William, John, and Joseph) from the 1850 census are seen again in the 1860 census along with two more boys -- both age 3.Were they twins?

It seems very odd to me to have a gap of 7 years between Joseph and these 2 boys who would have been born the same year Josiah died. Were these two boys really the sons of Josiah & Susan Blalock??Or is there an error in the census records??
Susan is listed in the 1880 census as follows along with a "Son" Edward B Blalock who would have been born in 1863 which was 6 years after Josiah died so I am assuming "Son" Edward was either adopted or actually a grandson or an error in the census record.
NAME: Susan Blalock
AGE: 55
BIRTH YEAR: 1825
BIRTHPLACE: Georgia
HOME IN 1880: District 248, Jackson, Georgia
RACE: White
GENDER: Female
RELATION TO HEAD OF HOUSE: Self
MARITAL STATUS: Widowed
FATHER'S BIRTHPLACE: North Carolina
MOTHER'S BIRTHPLACE: North Carolina
OCCUPATION: Farming
HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS
NAME AGE
Susan Blalock 55
Mary C Blalock 37
John A Blaock 32
Edward B Blalock 17
Can anyone help to clarify any of these questions?
Thank you.
