The Eastern Shore was called Accomack from he first Eropean settlement in 1623 un til 1643 when the name was changed to Northampton. In 1663 the northern part of Nrthampton was separated out and made Accomack Co. research in this area pre-1663 has to be done in Northampton Co.

Does anyone know of any actual research in Northampton Co. court, land, church, etc. records c. 1625- c.1660 for Thomas the immigrant of 1623 ? Northampton Co. has verygood records from 1636, there should be some records on Thomas there.
