Shirley - thanks for your timely and positive reply.I haven't done much on the Blalock line but to accept the research of others.I live in Mississippi and the Anderson Blalock/Phoebe Rimmer couple have always been interesting to me.I realized they were "my bunch" but didn't know exactly how. There have been lots of questions about them.I think having Ancestry.com has helped, because you can scan so many censuses at a sitting and see the progression and relationships.
I descend from Thomas who married Anna Hawkins through Thomas, Jr., and Mary Polly Blalock Blalock.Their daughter, Martha Lethia married Claiborne Burch and they came into Tennessee about 1848.
I think there were some major deaths in the Hawkins, Burch and Blaylock families about that time, for many from those families scattered all over Tennessee and other places right before 1850.
Ernest Blalock of Prospect Hill (Caswell Co.) has been such a help to me.I generally find him to be accurate in his data.
I need help on William and Elizabeth Blalock who came into Orange County (died in Person Co. 1790-1800) and their children.Whoever said Millington of Person Co. was not their son may be right.I haven't done enough first hand research to decide.
You seem to proceed from the facts and I would love to see your documentation on William, Sr. and & Elizabeth.WasElizabeth Lea Blalock the wife of William Jr., or was Elizabeth the wife of William Sr.
Thanks so very much for sharing the census summaries.
