Linda,

I too have wondered whether this John Blalock is the same who is connected to my ancestor William Mullins and his wife Catherine. The mention of William Harris in the deed below may provide some additional clue (as the Wm. Harris homestead was right beside the land of Wm. and Catherine's land on the Little River in Hanover).

In 1743 John Blalock Senior of St. Martins Par., Louisa Co., Planter, to John Anderson of St. Paul’s Parish, Hanover Co., Planter; £50; 206 acres on both sides of Harris fork of Cub Creek, St. Martins Parish, part of 400 acres granted to William Harris by patent and conveyed to John Blalock by deed... Road running north, Harris fork of Cub creek ... John Blalock Junior’s line. Witness: Bartelott Anderson, John Longan, Jonathan Pryor, Charles Smith, dated 13 Feb 1743 (see: Louisa Co. VA Deed Book: A, Page: 131, Grantor: John Blalock Senior, Grantee: John Anderson).
