I am trying to research John Blakeney born in Virginia abt 1810. Am aware of a Thomas "Blakney" that is in 1810 Maryland census and a Thomas "Blakney" that fought in the Virginia line in the Revolutionary War. Did the John Blakeney that you mentioned in your posting with various Children leave Virginia for SC or TN? If so....how soon? Did any of his children remain in VA? Could they be a parent of my John Blakeney? Would appreciate any help...
