All of my info. on the children of Thomas Blakey (son of Churchill) comes from "A Blakey Book" by Bernard Buckner Blakey. This writer lists a Reuben Blakey, b. 4 Nov. 1758, among Thomas's children, and says this Reuben "drowned in the Kentucky River, on his way to the far west"; "going to Mo."

Regarding the children of John Blakey (son of Churchill), I do not have a Reuben among them. Based on the Christ Church Parish Register and John Blakey's will (Culpeper Co., Va., Will Book B, p. 487), his children were John Blakey, Churchill Blakey, Frances Bush, Martha Morriss, Sarah Eddins (my ancestor), and Elizabeth Davis. This is not, of course, definitive proof that John did *not* have a son named Reuben.
